Sen. Rand Paul tests positive for coronavirus

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced he has tested positive for the coronavirus, becoming the first senator and the third known member of Congress to have contracted the disease.The Kentucky Republican — who has been in working from the Senate in recent days — said he was tested out of caution “due to his extensive travel and events” and did not note any specific exposure.An aide to Paul said he was “asymptomatic” and expects to return to the Senate after his quarantine.
